Privacy Policy

Your information is a key we guard.

Plain language, same as the rest of this site. This explains what we collect, why we collect it, who it goes to, and the choices you have.

Last updated: September 2026

01Who we are

Keys for Credit helps people across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, plus the Yukon and Northwest Territories, get into a vehicle. We offer vehicles from our own inventory, source vehicles we don’t have through our dealer and wholesale network, and connect you with lenders suited to your credit situation. We are not a lender.

Keys for Credit is operated by the same team behind Drive with Jules, and inquiries from both are handled by that one team. This policy applies to keysforcredit.com, our online forms, phone calls and text messages with our team, and our Keys for Credit Facebook page.

02Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details, such as your name, phone number and email address.
  • Your situation, meaning the option you pick when you start, such as rebuilding credit, no credit yet, bankruptcy or consumer proposal, self employed, new to Canada, or good credit.
  • Vehicle details, such as the type of vehicle you want, any specific vehicle you ask us to find, and trade in details like the year, model and kilometres.
  • Financing information you choose to give us, such as your date of birth, employment status, employer or business name, time at your job, total monthly income, income source, whether a cosigner is available, and a comfortable monthly payment range.
  • Location, meaning your city and province or territory.
  • Notes you share about your situation, so we can come to the call prepared.
  • Documents you choose to send, such as a driver’s licence, pay stubs or other proof of income, or trade in registration. This is always optional. See section 5.
  • Basic technical information, such as which pages you visit and whether you arrived from a Google or Facebook ad. See section 11.

We never ask for your Social Insurance Number on this website. If a lender needs it later, they request it directly as part of a real application.

03How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Understand your situation and find a vehicle and lender that fit it.
  • Contact you by phone, text or email about your inquiry.
  • Source a specific vehicle when you ask us to.
  • Come to the call with a realistic plan instead of starting from scratch.
  • Understand which pages and ads bring people to us, so we can improve the site.
  • Meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations.

When you submit a form, we show you a simple reference number based on your name. It exists only so you and our team can find your file quickly. It is not a government identifier and is not shared outside our records.

We do not make automated financing decisions. Every real decision is made by a person at a lender, reviewing your actual application.

05Sending us documents

To speed things up, you can send a copy of your driver’s licence, proof of income, and trade in registration. None of it is required to get a call back. It simply saves a step later, since lenders usually ask for the same things.

You can send them two ways:

  • Uploading on our website, which sends the files straight to our team without passing through a messaging app. This is the most direct option.
  • Texting them to our business number, offered for convenience because it is sometimes easiest on a phone.

If you have a choice, we recommend the website upload.

06Who we share it with

We only share information where it is needed to help you:

  • Lenders you choose to move forward with, so they can prepare a real financing offer.
  • Licensed sales and finance professionals at the dealerships involved in your vehicle, who handle the sale and paperwork.
  • Service providers who help us run our systems, such as website hosting, email and customer management tools. They must keep your information confidential and use it only to provide their service to us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for unrelated marketing.

07Where our vehicles come from

Whether a vehicle comes from our own inventory or is sourced through our network, it is sold through a licensed dealership by licensed sales and finance staff. We do not arrange private sales between individuals. That means your information only ever goes to regulated businesses, never to a private seller.

08Storage and security

Your information is stored with reputable providers that have their own security safeguards, and we take reasonable steps to protect it, including documents like a driver’s licence or pay stub. No website, email or text message can be guaranteed perfectly secure, which is why we offer a direct upload option and recommend it.

09How long we keep it

We keep your information as long as we need it to help you and to meet our legal and business recordkeeping requirements. After that it is securely deleted or made anonymous.

10Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we have about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Stop contacting you, or withdraw your consent to a credit check, at any time.
  • Delete your information, except anything we are legally required to keep.

Just contact us using the details in section 14.

11Cookies, analytics and ads

Like most websites, we may use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand which pages are helpful. We may also use advertising tools from Google and Meta (Facebook) to measure whether our ads bring people to the site and lead to an inquiry.

Our forms note whether you arrived from a Google ad, a Facebook ad, or somewhere else, so we know which ads are working. This is never used to sell your information. You can limit ad tracking through your browser settings or your Google and Facebook ad preferences.

12Children’s privacy

Our services are meant for adults who can enter into a financing agreement. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent update.
